About Me:
My name is Jourdan, and I live in the bay area located in Northern California. I absolutely love film and all genre that encompass film. There is a back log of classics or must see films that I haven’t seen yet and there is also plenty of films that I just don’t have access to. That is also not mentioning the films that come out every week. So I am far from being a film expert but I’m trying to be and I have to thank Netflix on that. What is my take on film? Well if you let it, you can learn something from each film. Whether it’s Commando or Schindler’s list you can take something away from both films maybe more from the other but there is still something. In the heart of film it is a art form and it should be treated that way even if a movie is for pure entertainment or if it is meant to challenge your psyche. I with hope with Movie Jonze I will be able to provide insightful opinion on film weather it be reviews or film news and other things that interest me.
A Little Bit More:
I finished school with a graphic design degree so I am very much into art. Photo shop and Illustrator are the programs that I use the most but I am familiar with other digital art programs. I just picked up photography and found that it is really addicting. I have canon 40D and am awaiting to get more gear. I try to draw when I can but I don’t draw nearly enough as I would like. I was a avid comic book reader but now a days I just try to pick up trade paperbacks. I also try to read a few books a year. Besides film I am really into music. I listen to hip-hop, indie, rock, alternative, reggae, dub, blues, R&B, soul, motown, electro, jazz and just about anything else. That love of music lead to me to producing, writing, preforming, and djing.
